Bed Buying Guides

Typically, we spend about a third of our life in bed! A sound night's sleep means you wake up feeling refreshed, recharged and ready to face the day ahead. A good night's sleep isn't expensive, typically less than the cost of a daily newspaper.

We often find that our clients visit us after having a much better sleep in a different bed e.g. whilst on holiday or staying with a family member. The 'Sleep Council' recommends that mattresses are changed every 5-7 years. The Sleep Council is funded by the 'National Bed Federation', the trade association for British bed manufacturers. Established in 1995, it is the consumer education arm that aims to:

  • Raise awareness of the importance of a good night's sleep to health and wellbeing.
  • Provide helpful advice and tips on how to improve sleep quality*.
  • Provide helpful advice on choosing the right bed for optimum sleeping comfort.

The Sleep Council produce a number of very informative guides which are available to view, download and print.
